Creating a Community Center? What does that mean?

Creating a Community Center is the challenge that Shingle Creek residents identified last year as part of it’s broad community engagement. SCNA earmarked $100,000 of it’s current funds and are looking at 2018 as a the beginning of this important effort.

At our January 9, 2018 SCNA Neighborhood/Board meeting, Minneapolis Park Board Commissioner Kale Severson will be joining us to learn more from residents and community members about this possibility. Also joining us will be MPRB Northside Service Area Director: Adam Lotis for the beginning opening discussion to learn what is being planned and what is needed in order to help create more of a world-class Community Center at Creekview Park to help better service the needs of the community as a whole.

The SCNA hosted Visioning session helped kick start the dialogue. Be watching our webpage for ongoing updates. Or better yet, come and get involved in creating the changes you want to see!
